Everything is Awesome

Since the kids were at my parent’s house for a sleepover, my wife and I got to go out and have a date night.  We saw the Lego Movie.  Without the kids (both of whom love Lego).  I don’t even feel bad about it.

It was, indeed, Awesome.

LEGO is getting dangerously meta. It is a movie based on a game based on a toy. There is a game based on the movie. That is a game based on a movie based on a game based on a toy. Where will it end?

Well the movie introduced new mini-figs, so there are now toys based on a movie based on a game based on those same toys

Interesting comment about new toys based on a movie based on a game based on toys of the same name in reply to a comment pointing out that the movie is based on a game based on toys of the same name in a post about the same movie based on a game based on toys of the same name which Michael Hall is not ashamed of seeing even though his kids love the same toy, which has a game based upon it, which has a movie based upon it, which is the subject of Michael’s blog post.

  2. Well did your kids find out about you & your wife going for LEGO movie ?
